The gate is clad with closeboard (featheredge) panels, where tapered and overlapped boards create a dense, impenetrable barrier. Constructed from tanalised pressure-treated timber, sourced from sustainable forests, the straight top closeboard gate is designed to withstand the elements. The pressure treatment protects the wood from rot, decay, and pests, ensuring long-lasting durability and maintaining the gate’s strength and appearance through the years.
All gates are made to the exact width and height you need.
To order firstly select the height you require.
Gates can be made lower than the height stated, so for example if you need a gate 160cm high- choose the 180cm height.
Then choose the width of gate you need.
Again gates can be made narrower than the width chosen, so for example if you need a gate 112cm wide- choose the 120cm width. Remember to take in account swing and hinge room. We recommend 15mm – 20mm.
Next select the hinge side, looking at the gate from the front. The hinge side determines the direction of the bracing at the back of the gate.
